In the name of God Amen I Henry Stredwick of Hadfield in the County of Sussex Yeoman being sick and xxx but of sound mind memory and understanding thanks be given to god for the same Do make and Ordain this my Last Will and testament in manner and form following that is to say

Ffirst I recommend my soul into the hands of God that gave it and my body I commit to the Earth to be Buried at the discretion of my Executor hereafter Named

And as touching the disposition of all my Temporal Estate wherewith it hath pleased God to bless me in this Life I give devise and dispose thereof in the following manner and form

Imprimis I Give devise and Bequeath to Thomas Godson my loving ffriend and to Elizabeth Patcher my servant maid now dwelling with me All that my ffreehold Messuage or Tenement Garden Orchard and backside thereunto belonging containing by Estimation half an acre of Land be it more or less with the appurtenances situate lying and being in the Parish of xxx in the County of Sussex called or known by the name of xxx To Hold unto my said ffriend Thomas Godson and my said servant Maid Elizabeth Patcher their heirs and asigns for ever

Also I give devise and bequeath unto my said ffriend Thomas Godson and to my said Servant Maid Elizabeth Patcher all that my leasehold house Barn Orchard and two acres and one rood of land and half an acre of xxx lease in the Common Ham thereto belonging with their and every of their appurtenances situate lying and being in xxxx aforesaid To Hold unto my said ffriend Thomas Godson and to my said Servant Maid Elizabeth Patcher their heirs Executors Administrators and assigned from and immediately after my decease for and during all the rest and residue of the term of ffive hundred years thereof granted therein to xxx and unexpired

Also I give and bequeath unto my said ffriend Thomas Godson and to my said Servant Maid Elizabeth Patcher (after all my debts are paid and ffuneral expenses deducted) all the rest residue of my goods chattells personal estate whatsoever to be equally divided between them share and share alike

And I do hereby make and Ordain my said ffriend Thomas Godson Sole Executor of this my last will ratifying and confirming this and no other to be my last will and testament

In witness whereof I the said Henry Stredwick to this my last will and testament contained in One sheet of paper have set my hand and seal the third Day of April in the year of our Lord One thousand Seven hundred and Forty nine Henry Stredwick
