In the name of God Amen I Mary Strudwicke of the pish of Kerdford in the county of Sussex the wife of Henry Strudwicke deceased of the aforesaid Kerdford being sick in body but in good memory thanks bee to God Doe make this my last will & testament in manner and ofrme following recalling all former wills
Ffirst I bequeath my soule unto the Lord Jesus Christ my alone mediation & redeemer hoping to bee saved by the xxx generosity of his most precious blood
And my body to bee decently buried As for the goods He God hath lent me I here dispose of them
Ffirst I give to my sonne William Strudwick twelve pence
Also I give to my daughter Mary Wakeford twelve pence
Also I give to my sonne John Strudwicke twelve pence
Also I give to my sonne Henry Strudwicke Tenn Pounds & to his sonne Henry Strudwicke my grandchild tenn pounds
Also I give to my daughter Margaret Penfold tenn pounds to her daughter Mary Penfold my grandchild fifty pounds
And I also give to my grandchild Henry Wakeford twenty shillings
Also I give to my grandchild Thomas Penfold twenty shillings
All the rest of my goods money & chattels not disposed of & given my debts & funerall expenses being discharged I give & bequeath to my daughter Ann Strudwicke whom I doe make the sole Executrix of this my last will & testament
Also I desire my cozen Mr William Yalden Senior of Blackdowne & my brother Edmond Yalden of Compton to the utmost of their power to endeavor to see this my last will performed according to the true meaning thereof
In witness whereof I have sett my hand & seale the three & twentieth day of July 1667 Mary Strudwicke The said Mary Strudwicke sett her hand & seale & published this as her last will & testament in the presence of Edmond Yalden Henry Penfold
