This is the last will and testament of me Elizabeth Strudwick of Bromley in the County of Kent Widow

I order & direct that all my just debts and my funeral and testamentary expenses be paid and satisfied as soon as may be after my decease

I give and bequeath unto my Sister Sarah Langridge now residing with me at the Three Compasses Alehouse in Bromley aforesaid all my plate chinal linen and wearing apparel

I nominate and appoint my said sister and William Powell of the Three Compasses Alehouse aforesaid, the husband of my late daughter Sarah Powell, Executrix and executor of this my will

And all the rest and residue of my estate and effects, moneys and securities for money, and stocks in the public funds, I give and bequeath the same to my said executrix and executor upon trust to invest or keep the same invested in the public funds of Great Britain & pay and apply the proceeds thereof unto or to the use of my said sister Sarah Langridge for and during the term of her natural life and after her decease upon trust for the absolute use and benefit of the said William Powell his executors & administrators

And hereby revoking all former wills by me made, I declare this to be my last will and testament In witness whereof I the said Elizabeth Strudwick the testatrix have hereby set my hand and affixed my seal this third day of October in the year of our lord 1837 The mark and Seal of Elizabeth Strudwick

Signed sealed published and declared by the said Elizabeth Stradwick the testatrix as and for her last will and testament in the presence of us who in her presence and in the presence of each other and at her request have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses thereto the same having been first read over and explained to her.
