In the name of God Amen I Henry Strudwick in Stoke Next Guildford in the County of Surrey gentlemen being of sound mind memory and understanding do make and publish my last will and testament in manner following (that is to say)

first I will direct that all my just debts funeral expenses and testamentary charges be fully paid and satisfied and discharged by my executor hereinafter named by and out of my personal estate

And I hereby give and bequeath to my nephew John Carpenter in Stoke Next Guildford aforesaid coach maker all my ready money securities for money and all and singular other my personal estate property and effects and things whatsoever wheresoever and of what nature or kind so ever the same may be to hold the same unto my Said Nephew John Carpenter his executors administrators and assigns absolutely forever subject nevertheless and I hereby charge all and singular my said personal estate and effects so given and bequeath unto my said nephew John Carpenter as aforesaid with and to the payment of a clear yearly annuity or annual sum of 50 Pounds of lawful British money to be paid and payable to my dear wife Esther Strudwick and her assigns for and during the term of the natural life by four equal quarterly payments in each and every year without any reduction or abatement out of the same or any part thereof for or by reason of any parliamentary or other taxes rates assessments or indispositions whatsoever the first quarterly payment to begin and be made at the expiration of three calendar months next after my decease

And I hereby nominate and appoint my said nephew John Carpenter sole executor of this my will hereby revoking all former wills by me made

I declarer this only to be my last will and testament in witness whereof I the said Henry Strudwick have to this my last will and testament set my hand and seal this 11th day of September in the year of our lord 1816 Henry Strudwick
